I spent my whole entire weekend with this crazy little one. She was just to energetic for me, but it was so much fun to have her around for the weekend. ONLY FOR A WEEKEND. Don't get me wrong I love little kids but I only love them for a day, not ready for a lifetime just yet.

9/13/11 Lady Titans
Today was an exciting day for the New Town Varsity girl’s soccer team. Today was the first game of the season. Everyone had on their new uniforms the coaches bought for us and we looked like a team. Everybody on the team gets along just like we should, and as the saying goes "there's no I in TEAM"…. We were all ready for the last bell to end our day so we could get to our game. It was bright and sunny outside, just the right weather for a soccer game. Okay it was a little hot but we got through it. We were playing against Sparrows Point, we have never played against them before but we heard that they are pretty good team. In the beginning of the game two of my team mates shot the first 2 goals, which was very exciting for us considering our record from last year. Sparrows Point was not having it, they were shooting goal after goal. We tried our hardest to get more goals but we ended up unsuccessful. The score ended 9-2 Sparrows Point as the winning team. We really didn't care too much about the score because it was our first game and every single player on the field played their hardest.

Kendyl has been part of the AVID odyssey since her 9th grade year. Coming into a rigorous class like AVID has helped her prepare for her college career. In preparation for college, Kendyl has selected to take an arduous schedule of courses including: AP Psychology, Honors Physics, English U.S History, AP Human Geography and AP Environmental Science (APES). AVID has pushed her to apply for colleges and scholarships, making her a college bound student. After her high school career she plans to study nursing to become a pediatric nurse. 9/11/11 Marking 10 years of A Sad Tragedy
Today marks the 10th year of 9/11. Ten years ago I was a 6 year old 1st grader. I remember being in class, then all of a sudden I hear the principal get on the intercom telling all the classes to go to the multi-purpose room. As we were all walking to the room we were wondering what was going on. When we got in the room the principal turned on the TV and tuned in to the news. I remember watching the first building burning as the new casters were telling us a plane has hit the World Trade Center. We all watched in amazement. Then a few minutes went by and we watched as the second plane hit the next building and they announced it as a terrorist attack. I started to get scared because my dad was working for the government at the time. I watched as the buildings started burning and collapsing and all I could about is if BOTH of my parents were alright. When my parents came to pick us up I felt a sense of relief, but I still worried about my other family members that worked for the government. Everyone was alright but this tragedy made me appreciate the things have in life. People lost their spouses, children, close friends and loved ones and they have been missed very much over the past ten years. I continue to pray for the families of the innocent victims of 9/11 and hope they remember the good times they had with their loved ones.

9/7/11
There are always going to be some good days and there will always be one or two bad days, but today is just a very SAD day. Today was going to be our first soccer game, but due to the weather it was canceled. Everyone on the team was excited to be able to actually play a game after very long practices during the summer. Cant wait for our first game, it will be bitter sweet because it will be my last first soccer game in high school.
